Good candidates are buildings with real indoor cellular dead zones and enough foot traffic to matter: hotels, warehouses and industrial facilities, and multi-tenant or retail buildings are the most common fits. Qualification is qualitative: we look at building size and number of floors, construction materials that block signal, device density, known indoor dead zones, and whether symmetrical business fiber is feasible at the property. Will the install disrupt my building or operations?
No shutdown required. We schedule cabling and access-point mounting around your hours and work back-of-house first, and the offload network runs on its own isolated VLAN. It never touches your existing business or guest Wi-Fi. Most buildings see zero downtime.
Which carriers does it work with?
Passpoint is an industry standard supported by the major carriers, so compatible phones offload automatically once the network is provisioned. We coordinate the carrier side end-to-end through our carrier-offload program: you do not have to contact any carrier yourself. We keep the specifics carrier-agnostic and handle the enrollment and provisioning as part of the project.
How is this different from a cellular DAS?
A DAS (distributed antenna system) rebroadcasts licensed cellular signal indoors using dedicated head-end equipment and antennas. It is expensive, carrier-specific, and slow to approve. Carrier Wi-Fi offloading takes a different path: it moves the phone onto your Wi-Fi using Passpoint instead of amplifying the cellular signal. That means a faster, lower-cost deployment on enterprise Wi-Fi hardware you also get to use for your business network, not a separate cellular infrastructure build.
